A photographer first of all it seemed natural to volunteer for a community TV station getting involved with the videography side of the project. Witney TV projects were diverse such as producing video to promote local charities, filming live music at Cornbury Music Festival and a world exclusive interview with top gear presenter Jeremy Clackson. The project even received credit from the Jeremy Hunt when he was Culture Secretary. He saw it as the blueprint poster boy for all Community TV. As a result of working in this area, videography was a natural addition for Box Cottage Photography. Having almost 20 years of experience in photography, film and video were a natural step.
My work has been used in many areas including on TV for Hidden Villages as well as to promote local organisations, bands and groups. I have recently undertaken work for a charity editing video to help promote a community project. In 2016 as part of a working brief I was able to create aerial footage at the World Heritage site, Blenheim Palace. As a result of this aerial shots appear within a film.
Gaining my Permission for Commercial Operation has given me an additional aspect to my videography work. I can now fly a drone or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and capture film from the air. This offers a whole new aspect and perspective the film work that I can provide to clients.
